The beginning of a new journey into blogging started with a simple wish to document our family’s adventures and connect with others who share similar passions. Inspired by our two amazing kids, Olivia (12) and Dominic (10), we launched Olive&Dom to share stories of travel, family life, and everything in between.
My husband, originally from Rhode Island, has built a career in sales, ranging from cars to homes. As for me, I’ve spent most of my life in Florida, working in various roles within the hospitality industry while nurturing a deep love for family, travel, and the arts. We’ve been married for 15 years and have called Central Florida our home for nearly 20 years.
A few years ago, we started a business together, and after selling it recently, I was searching for a new creative outlet that could bring all of my passions together. That’s when this blog came to life, giving me the perfect space to share our journey and hopefully inspire others along the way.
The Rollercoaster of Parenthood
Parenthood is a journey filled with highs, lows, and everything in between, and we’ve been riding that rollercoaster for years. While it comes with its challenges, it’s also incredibly rewarding. At Olive&Dom, we’re eager to share our stories and connect with others who are experiencing the same mix of joy and struggle. We’ve learned that not having it all figured out is part of what makes the journey authentic.
One of the biggest hurdles we’ve faced is finding balance (between work, home, and everything in between). Setting priorities, boundaries, and learning to ask for help isn’t easy, and we’re still figuring it out ourselves. By sharing our journey, we hope to offer some encouragement to those juggling the same challenges.
